Special Audit of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS)
Special Audit being conducted in 5,965 PACS affiliated to 22 CCBs. SLIC has recommended claims of 796 PACS from 4 CCBs for a recapitalization assistance of Rs.65.81 crore.

Bihar Cooperative Societies Act 1935 amended through Bihar Cooperative Societies (Amendment) Act, 2008 and Official Gazette notification issued on 30 April 2008. |
Introduction of CAS/MIS |
Common Accounting System (CAS) and Management Information System (MIS) for PACS and Manual on CAS/MIS have been circulated amongst PACS by the RCS. The printing of registers for CAS is under process. |
HRD Initiatives |
- DNS Institute for Cooperative Management, Patna identified as the nodal agency to coordinate and organise training programme for capacity building in the state.
- 14 Master Trainers trained by BIRD on training modules for PACS Secretaries and elected members.
- 36 District Level Trainers (DLTs) trained by the Master Trainers
- DLTs imparted training to 1097 PACS Secretaries and 4,356 Board Members at District / Taluka level. |
