v Legal Services have been constituted under NABARD (Staff) Rules. The Bank has recruited legal professionals practising in Courts as Advocates or who have work experience in Law Departments of Banks/FIs.
v Law Department basically provides in-house legal consultancy to the Bank. It manages legal affairs of the Bank.
v It works in close cohesion with various Operational Departments and Regional Offices/Sub-offices/Training Establishments and tenders legal advice and provide related services.
v Aids management in decision making in the light of legal position.

Work relating to Committees and Working Groups.
VIP References from GOI for vetting of bills relating to Agriculture/Cooperative/Rural Development to be placed in Parliament/State Legislature

Preparation of brief to Solicitors/Sr. Counsels.
Participation in negotiations with Employees’/Officers’ Association
Participation in negotiation with contractors for acquisition of immovable properties and other transactions.

Appearances before ALCs/Labour Tribunals, Tax Authorities, Arbitration and Consumer Forum.
