Dr. Nachiket Mor

Educational Qualifications: 
Bachelors in Physics (Mumbai University); MBA, Finance (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad); Ph.D. in Economics (Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania,) with a specialisation in Finance from the Wharton School; Yale World Fellow 
Professional Experience:
Dr. Mor worked with ICICI from 1987 to 2007 and was a member of the bank’s Board of Directors from 2001 to 2007. After a successful tenure at ICICI, Dr. Mor transitioned to the social sector with a goal of making financial services and healthcare accessible to everyone.
From 2007 to 2011, he served as the founding President of ICICI Foundation and also as the Chair of the Governing Council of Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) Trust and Board Chair of FINO.
During 2011-12, Dr. Mor served as a member of the High Level Expert Group on Universal Health Coverage appointed by the Planning Commission. In the past, he has served as a Board Member of Wipro for five years and as Board Chair of the Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association of India for two years. He recently served as the Chair of RBI’s Committee on Comprehensive Financial Services for Small Businesses and Low Income Households.
Presently, Dr. Mor serves as India Country Director at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He is Board Chair of CARE India and sits on the Board of several institutions, such as Reserve Bank of India, IKP Centre for Technologies in Public Health and CRISIL. He is a member of RBI’s High Level Advisory Committee on New Bank Licenses and the Central Council of Health and Family Welfare of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
