Scheme for Extending Financial Assistance to Sugar Mills for Enhancement and Augmentation of Ethanol Production Capacity
1. 263/DoR-67/2018 dated 12 October 2018, forwarding therewith operational guidelines of the captioned Scheme and  No.276/DoR-76/2020 dated 03 October 2019, forwarding clarification thereof. Department of Food and Public Distribution (DFPD), Government of India, has since revised Para 5 (ii) of the operational guidelines which may now be read as under:
2. “The applicant should get the loan disbursed from the bank within two years from the date of in-principle approval of DFPD, failing which the in-principle approval for the project will stand cancelled.  The applicants which have submitted their applications to DFPD after the date of notification of the scheme but within the cut-off date prescribed in the notification dated 19.07.2018 and in case of whom, loans were disbursed to them prior to the in-principle approval of DFPD, will also be eligible for interest subvention under the Scheme.  Further, the project should be completed within two years from the date of disbursement of first instalment of loan from bank.”
3.  You are requested to bring the above clarification to the notice of all the branches/ Controlling Offices/ DCCBs under your jurisdiction.
