  • NABARD sanctioned Farmers Clubs in the area
  • Youths were trained in farming, accounting and paperwork
  • Farmers Clubs reached out to remote communities and helped them access market for trade throughout the year

The Impact:

  • Replacement of opium cultivation with cardamom
  • Drop in opium addiction
  • Cultural activities organised by Farmers Clubs have restored the community’s sense of pride
  • Farmers aware of market dynamics, a key objective of the project
