• The 1960 irrigation project was in an indeterminate state due to lack of maintenance; it was unable to live up to its design potential
• Lack of proper irrigation facilities, resulting only in the harvest of kharif crops
• Reaping both kharif and rabi produce using available resources

• Renovation of the canal system and construction of various service roads under NABARD’s RIDF
