• Complete isolation of about 30,000 people residing on either side of a nullah with huge boulders

THE SOLUTION

• NABARD provided support under RIDF for the construction of a 35-metre span steel girder motorable bridge connecting Majalta and Dudu Basantgarh blocks

THE IMPACT

• Quicker access to health facilities
• Better enrolment and attendance in schools, especially of girl students
• Grazing and protection of livestock of 6,000 nomads (Gujjars) made easier
• Mobility of raw materials for construction and other business ventures
• Facilitation of inter-village marriages
