• Establishment of a model hatchery unit at Krishi Vikas Kendra to support poultry farmers
• Establishment of fieldlevel egger nurseries by ensuring availability of improved variety of day-old chicks

THE IMPACT

• KVK has encouraged the rearing of improved varieties and supported more than 2,500 rural families
• Substantial increase in egg production, adding over ? 1 CRORE to the annual revenue of the farming community
• Rural youths now approaching KVK to replicate the same
