The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Agriculture led by Shri Hukmdev Narayan Yadav, Hon’ble MP and Chairman of the Committee visited Mumbai and had detailed informal discussion with NABARD, Government of Maharashtra and Lead Banks of Maharashtra State viz. State Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India and Bank of India on 26 February 2019. NABARD, led by Chairman Dr. Harsh Kumar Bhanwala hosted the delegation at Mumbai and participated in the deliberations on the functioning of Agriculture Credit System along with senior officials of banks and Government of Maharashtra. 

 

The role played by NABARD towards pioneering the agriculture credit flow was well appreciated by the Chairman of the Committee and other Members.
