A VC interaction was held by PMO on 4 June 2021. The VC was attended by Shri Bhaskar Khulbe, Advisor to PM, Vice Chancellor of Kerala Agriculture University, MD TRIFED, Dr. D.S. Chauhan, CGM NABARD UP Regional Office, Dr. Milind Ramteke, Deputy Director LBSNAA and Dr. Rajni Kant, a GI specialist and Padma Shri Awardee.

 

The VC was held to discuss avenues and steps to promote and create awareness on GIs among the Officer Trainees (OTs) of 2019 batch of Indian Administrative Service.

 

Shri Bhaskar Khulbe, Advisor to PM briefed the participants that GoI is inclined in creation and promotion of campaign for Indian products to be registered as Geographical Indications. In this reference Govt. of India has decided to brief the OTs of 2019 batch of IAS on the relevance of GIs.
