Shri R Amalorpavanathan, Deputy Managing Director (DMD), NABARD laid down office on superannuation on 31 May 2019. To commemorate his glorious journey of 35 years in NABARD, a function was organised on 04 June 2019. Dr. H K Bhanwala, Chairman chaired the function, which was attended by former DMD Shri H R Dave and staff members of NABARD. Shri Amalorpavanathan along with his family graced the function.

Shri Bhanwala, in his speech, described Shri Amalorpavanathan as a team member who would never allow his personal disagreement on any official matter influence its implementation for the greater cause of the bank. The Chairman profusely credited his outgoing colleague for his contribution in transforming NABARD’s IT operations.

Shri Amalorpavanathan expressed his satisfaction for having been part of NABARD, which strives for rural prosperity. He advised his younger colleagues to excel in whatever they do with a lot of passion and commitment. He urged the staff members to question the status quo in a bid to find out better answers to the existing challenges. He also asked them to look outside for newer ideas. He expressed his confidence that NABARD would continue to be a great institution serving the rural populace.

On this occasion, several people spoke about their association with Shri Amalorpavanathan. The speakers included Shri Dave, Shri K R Rao, Shri Niraj Verma, Shri Pradeep Parate and Shri Vijay Bhonsle.
