Dr. Harsh Kumar Bhanwala, Chairman, NABARD visited Institute of Spatial Planning and Environment Research (ISPER), a NGO on 04 July, 2019 in Panchkula. The Chairman interacted with the members of the Village Watershed Committees and Farmer Producer Organizations promoted by ISPER with the grant support of NABARD. In his address, he emphasised the role of community initiative and participation to reinforce the efforts of NABARD and its partner organizations.

 

The Chairman also visited and oversaw the work of Mallah Watershed Project, Pinjore, Panchkula, Haryana which involves measures for water and soil conservation through area treatment and drainage line treatment. The project work started in January, 2018 and is set to complete in three years. He also inaugurated a Sub-Surface Dam, a unique intervention tailored to the requirement of the project. Sh. Deepak Manchanda, CGM, NABARD Haryana RO, Dr. Rajiv Siwach, GM and Sh. Dinesh Kumar Kapila, GM and other officers from Haryana RO also participated in the visit.
