The Pratapgarh Aonla tree is a small native tree of India that is also referred to as Amalaki or Indian Gooseberry. It yields fruit that has been used for thousands of years in Ayurvedic treatment and as nourishment. In the Pratapgarh region, three varieties of Aonla are cultivated mostly.
