Hon’ble Finance Minister’s Credit Outreach Programme at Thiruvananthapuram.

Credit Outreach Programme of Govt. of India was held at Mamam Public Ground, Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram on 25.11.2023. Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Hon’ble Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs chaired the meeting in the presence of Shri. V. Muraleedharan, Hon’ble Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs & External Affairs. Shri. Shaji. K.V., Chairman, NABARD, attended the function, along with Vivek Joshy IAS, Secretary, Department of Financial Services and MDs of various Commercial Banks.


The Credit Outreach Programme at Atti ngal was the 6th such programme conducted pan India among which, the maximum amount of Rs. 6,014.92 crore sanction was announced in this programme.


Hon’ble Finance Minister handed over the sanction letters to beneficiaries of 5 projects sanctioned by NABARD. The projects included Rs. 56.16 crore sanction under RIDF, Sanction of grant assistance of Rs. 31.90 lakh to Kerala Gramin Bank for deployment of 150 micro - ATMs, Sanction of Grant Assistance of Rs. 10.00 lakh to Sri Chithra Home for Destitute & Infirm for establishing a marketing outlet and plant nursery. Sanction was also accorded to demand driven placement linked programmes in skill development such as Goldsmithy, Postnatal Ayurvedic Care for Pregnant women.
