The chairman of NABARD Dr GR Chintala had an interactive meeting with the scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) of Tinsukia and Dibrugarh at KVK Tinsukia on Saturday.
TINSUKIA: The chairman of NABARD Dr GR Chintala had an interactive meeting with the scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) of Tinsukia and Dibrugarh at KVK Tinsukia on Saturday. He arrived at Tinsukia in his last leg of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh tour.
While reviewing the schemes of KVK Dibrugarh and Tinsukia, Dr Chiltala dwelt at length on NABARD's support in rural livelihood and the role of the agricultural sector in the economic uplift of the nation. He also highlighted prospective areas in Assam's rural livelihood and agricultural sector where NABARD can invest with the support of Assam Government while elaborating NABARD's technical support in the execution of various schemes of Government of India employing new technology and its utility. He was accompanied by CGM NABARD Baiju Kurup and GM of Arunachal Pradesh Partho Saha.
Earlier Director of Extension Education Assam Agricultural University Dr PK Pathak welcomed Dr Chintalaat VKV Tinsukia. The programme was attended by NABARD officials, scientists belonging to Citrus Research Station Tinsukia, KVK of Tinsukia & Dibrugarh and AAU Jorhat.
