NABARD bids farewell to Shri H R Dave, DMD

Shri H R Dave, Deputy Managing Director (DMD), NABARD, laid down office on superannuation on 30 April 2019. On this occasion, a function was organised to bid farewell to him. Dr. H K Bhanwala, Chairman, NABARD, chaired the function, which was attended by Shri R Amalorpavanathan, DMD, retired officers of NABARD, senior bankers from RBI and Commercial Banks, CGMs of HO and other staff members of NABARD. Shri Dave along with his family graced the function.
 
On this occasion, several people expressed their experience of working with Shri Dave. The speakers included Shri Vijay Bhonsle, Shri A K Dixit, Shri S C Wadhwa, Shri Sudarshan Sen, Shri S Dwivedi and Shri G R Chintala. Speaking about his association with Shri Dave, Shri Amalorpavanathan credited him for the key role played in liaisoning with GoI and various States in policy matters and other day-to-day affairs, in the last five years. Terming Shri Dave as a “man with ideas” who is “keen about details and dedicated to work”, Shri Bhanwala wished him a fulfilling retired life.
 
Shri Dave took immense pride for having been part of an institution like NABARD, which works for the growth rural India, from almost its inception. “NABARD has been at the center stage of the nation’s development agenda,” he said reminiscing his illustrative career of 36 years in NABARD across the country in various capacities and responsibilities. He urged upon the young officers of NABARD to evolve new strategies to engage actively with the people who are the ultimate masters of NABARD.
 
The function ended with vote of thanks from Shri Jiji Mammen, CGM.
