Dimapur, Aug. 6 (EMN): Rural Haat at Doyapur village under Dimapur district was inaugurated on August 6. The Rural Haat was constructed with the financial support from NABARD, Dimapur, and implemented by Doyapur village council.

L Leivang, NABARD general manager, Nagaland Regional Office, along with Phiju Langthasa, Head GB of Doyapur village, Kumud Sengyung, chairman of Doyapur village council, and Khehuto Kiho, chairman of Doyapur Bazaar Committee, have jointly inaugurated the Rural Haat.

 

The Rural Haat was expected to ease the issues of marketing/ sales of farmers’ produce of the villages. It is further expected that the Rural Haat would empower local farmer in the sale of their produce.
