  • Farmers' Club Programme
  • Farm Sector Promotion Fund (FSPF)
  • Producer Organisation Development Fund (PODF)
  • Policy formulations aligned to Government policies and programmes
  • Framing of appropriate operational guidelines for implementation of such policies through credit, promotional and developmental interventions
  • Rendering necessary technical advisory/policy in agriculture and allied sectors through Central and Regional Technical Advisory Groups (C-TAG and R-TAGs)

Hierarchy based decision making process with group/committee approach is adopted for performing the functions of the department.

Norms set for the discharge of duties originate from extant policy guidelines, circulars, manuals, etc.
