Climate Change Fund (CCF)





           NABARD had created a Climate Change Fund during 2016-17 with a corpus of Rs.5 crore which has been enhanced to
           Rs. 20 cr for promoting and supporting activities aimed at addressing climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation
           measures, awareness generation, knowledge sharing and for facilitating sustainable development.
           An amount of  5.2 crore was utilized from the fund towards support to various promotional activities viz; sponsoring
           training and capacity building activities undertaken by Centre for Climate Change, BIRD, Lucknow; sponsorship of
           World Sustainable Development Summit 2020, World Water Summit, solar model farm at KVK in Delhi, installing
           customized Automated Weather Stations in Nagaland, a study on e-waste management in Sikkim, a project on awareness
           generation of mangroves, coastal ecosystem and livelihood opportunities of local communities in Goa, sponsoring several
           regional conferences/seminars on climate change awareness, etc.
